Itinerary

Morning

Arrive at Kochi (Cochin) and drive up to Munnar (approx. 4–5 hrs)
Check into your hotel/plantation stay.

Afternoon
Lunch at a local café (try Kerala sadya or ghee roast).
Head to the Tea Museum (learn about tea processing, old machinery).

Evening
Stroll through Mattupetty Dam area—enjoy the reservoir view; optional boathouse ride.
Sunset at Echo Point (shout and hear the “echo”!)
Dinner back in Munnar town.

Early Morning

Visit Eravikulam National Park (home of the Nilgiri tahrs)—park opens around 7 AM, book tickets in advance.


Late Morning
Drive up to Kundala Lake for pedal-boating amid the hills.

Lunch
Picnic or café near Kundala.

Afternoon
Explore the rolling tea estates on a short hike (Anamudi Peak viewpoint if you’re up for a 2-3 km trek).

Evening
Leisure time—browse the Munnar market for spices, chocolates.
Overnight in Munnar.

Morning
After breakfast, drive down to Thekkady (approx. 3 hrs).
Check in to your jungle resort.

Late Morning
Visit a Spice Plantation tour—see cardamom, pepper, vanilla, and more.

Lunch
At the resort or a local restaurant (try fish curry or vegetarian thali).

Afternoon
Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary boat cruise on Periyar Lake—spot elephants, deer, maybe a tiger from the water.

Evening
Optional: Kathakali dance or Kalaripayattu martial arts demo (local cultural performance).
Overnight in Thekkady.

Morning Depart early for Alappuzha (Alleppey) – about 4 hrs by road. Board your traditional Kerala houseboat (kettuvallam) around midday. Afternoon & Evening (Houseboat) Drift through the palm-fringed backwaters, passing paddy fields, villages, and coconut groves. Lunch and dinner freshly prepared on board (rice, seafood or veg curry, coconut-based dishes). Overnight on the houseboat—fall asleep to the gentle lapping of water.

Morning Enjoy breakfast on deck as the boat docks back at Alappuzha. Drive to Cochin (approx. 1.5 hrs). Late Morning Fort Kochi walking tour Chinese fishing nets at the waterfront St. Francis Church (oldest European church in India) Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace) & Jewish Synagogue. Lunch Café along Princess Street—try Kappa (tapioca) and fish curry. Afternoon Quick stop at Marine Drive for a sunset stroll, if time permits. Head to Cochin airport/railway station for your onward journey.
